The only Tissot I own - a 1930s cushion case example with a sector dial and blued hands.

Hello, I need a bit of help with this Tissot I bought from ebay. It looks to be in generally excellent condition. It came with a GF bracelet in good condition, which I hope is original.
My main issue is with the crowns. The bottom, movement crown, is an obvious disaster, but I don't know what to change it to. Is the bezel crown with the cross hatch original? would it have had two of these? Or would it have had two Tissot crowns, or one of each.
Also, where would I buy a new bracelet (online), & is this one likely to be original?

Came across this yesterday and just had to have it

Looks in great shape, on original Gay Freres bracelet ( dated 3 69), both Tissot crowns and super sharpe case

Now need to find out how to tell the time in the second time zone!!!!!

Cheers paul

Ps does anyone have copy of old instruction manual for this navigator seastar t12 please?

I really like these tissots you are showing. Quite stunning. There is a couple in my area a guy selling a nice one for 250 with boxes and papers but it鈥檚 quartz. It鈥檚 a chronograph as well but I鈥檓 trying to stick to automatics and mechanicals like most of you here. I鈥檒l keep looking around. I really need to pace myself but it鈥檚 very difficult when you guys post these great pics

Here is my PR 518 which is currently in service:

It is running well but the power reserve is too low (<24h). The caseback is special (fotos can be added later) and requires two different seals (there is a smaller inner case in the case). I am not sure if there are any spares out there and Tissot gave back the feedback that the watch is not repairable. So I am still hoping and waiting for the watchmakers response).

Many thanks. I cant believe how nice this watch is and what great shape its in. Its certainly holding up better than i am.

Also doubt that the GF bracelet has ever been off the watch.

Still hypnotised by the little details - the brushing of the silver dial, the sun burst of the blue half, etc

Nice Tissots!

Has the T12 in the top right corner had its dial replaced with a PR 516 one?

Hi there,

Recently acquired a Tissot Navigator ref 45501 in black (Lemania 1341 movement) and I have a question. On the dial of my watch it says Automatic Navigator but I also see lots of pictures where the same reference has Navigator first, followed by Automatic on the dial. Anyone knows when Tissot made the switch or if there are original and service dials out there? Hope you guys can help me!

Hi, never notice this but you are right.

In 1976/1977 catalog it was Navigator above Automatic and mine from 1976 has this configuration.
In an advertising from around 1975, it was Automatic above Navigator.

So not a service dial.

From when is yours ? have you the serial number of the movement otherwise ?
