Two recent purchases, both chromed case jumbos

Amazing design and condition. Thank you for sharing.

You said jumbo, what is the diameter and what movements are in them?

Thanks! Both are 38mm. For both, I'm not sure what the calibre is, as the sellers didn't state them, but through a combination of google and Dr Ranfft's pages, I'm guessing:
1st is (apparently) a ref 5721, with ?cal 27 perhapp
while the 2nd is a ref 6438, with a cal 27-2 maybe?

I'm not an expert so I'd welcome any info since there's a good chance I'm wrong!

Well done! It's hard to find these jumbos with chrome cases in good shape. (Dibs) Reference on your first one should be 6721 perhaps? You can see two of the factory correct variations of the printed logos on your examples. All of these jumbos used variants of Tissot's caliber 27. Here's another 38mm ref 6720 cal 27B-21 from 1952:

A Tissot Visodate Seastar T12 I just found, unfortunately in dire needs of a serious restoration...

I have a Seastar Navigator I bought on my first Swiss trip back in 1977, I think I paid about $150, it's pretty beat up...got hurled across the room in some adolescent fit way back in the 70's and hasn't worked since, though nothing broke on the outside at least!!! It's at my seasonal cottage so I will recover it when there in a few weeks, post some pics, and see if it's worth restoring to working order.

That's a reference 804A, circa 1955 with a Lemania 1280 onboard.

Superb choice. I wish I would have focused my colection in forties and fifties Tissots before they went out of sight... and their prices out of control (relatively speaking).

And I do regret, even more, not having paid attention to the 817 Chrono when they were available, believing it was some sort of franken ::facepalm1::

In any case, this is (part of) my collection

That is an impressive collection you have there!
The world Timer was quite expensive (to my standard) but the rest I have not spent a lot on... I get this 35mm watch next week and I paid like 80$.

Appologize for the bad pic - I blaim the auction house... 馃槈 And will post a better when I have it in my hands...
