Thank-you sir. Will post better pics in a day or two.
I just added some close-up pics today. Needed my better half's help!

I think the watch is not quite as described. The caseback has been polished, The key holes show that it was opened poorly and the polishing has attempted to cover that up. While the watch is a nice example, I am incredulous about the misty pics. Like an ageing personality using a lack of crisp high resolution pictures to cover their flaws. Something is not quite right here. The bracelet appears to have seen the polishing wheel as well.
If the watch were as described we would see evidence of lapping much more apparent than these pics indicate.

Can you confirm whether the International Warranty was filled in at time of purchase. Maybe include a picture? Lovely watch, thanks for sharing.

Looks like a very good example. For me everything appears correct/original.

I would say that it doesn’t appear quite as pristine as was suggested. The caseback for example has certainly been polished. Nevertheless, a nice watch with significant value.

Beautiful watch! Love this reference model. As a Dutchy I am particularly interested in the Dutch history of your watch 😀.
Hello, I was stationed for 2 years at the Soesterberg air force base. My mother was born in The Netherlands which helped me to find a pretty Dutch girl in the town of Nijkerk. We have been married now for 50 years! She helped me pick out this nice watch at the PX on base. Tot Ziens! Dutchflyer9

Hello, I bought the watch at a military PX in The Netherlands. They said that they were not an authorized dealer and that the sales receipt would be sufficient . So, the warranty card was (is) not filled out. Sorry. I have the down payment and final sales receipts. The dealer here who told me it was an original watch after opening it had a yellow sticky form on it with the following info: 1967 Case #105 012 66 Cal:321 Mov No. 24952516. I did not see the inside of the watch. I picked it up the next day. If I sell it, of course, it can be opened up for the purchaser. One other thing. When it was still under warranty the upper pusher fell out and an Omega dealer in Oostzeedijk, The Netherlands repaired it. I have this receipt also. If the watch back was polished, maybe it was done there?? I did not polish it myself. I am trying to be honest with everyone. All I want is a true value of the watch to decide whether to keep it or sell it. This is a really nice forum and thanks for all the input! Dutchflyer9

I second that. Even the 20k might not work in the moment. And it might not be of interest to high class auction houses. The international market has changed. If you can, sell it inside the USA. Insurance and international shipping can be a nightmare, if you are not experienced in doing so. Short additional question : if you press the pusher at 4 o'clock, does the lower 12 hour counter hand reset to 12 ?
Yes it does.

I’d say you’re going to be around the Very Good mark on the price chart below (possibly a bit below this due to the case back). This is head only so you’re looking at a couple thousand extra for the bracelet, box and papers etc.

at this point, should we start making offers? 🙄

The offers that the OP gets by PM may represent more realistic estimates than the ones given publicly.

I'm in Virginia and this model is one of my grails. Some aspects are very attractive and some aren't quite at the same level. I think VG is optimistic, but it is the starting point before an add for bracelet and some reductions for things like the caseback.

Very cool having the watch since new. I sincerely hope you decide to keep it.

I'm sure our OP has received several already via direct message 😀

I still think slightly under very good is reasonable here. What’s that, $15k, plus 2k for the rest so 17k all in.

I suppose the issue here is that’s what I would expect an established collector to sell it for. A dealer would sell for more. A private individual (such as the OP) who’s going to sell to a dealer or a collector would likely see realise less as they’re an unknown and much of the effort will be on the part of the buyer.

Ultimately @Dan S is right, those who put their money where their mouth is and offer cold hard cash will be the best barometer of what’s its worth. I can say it’s worth that amount all day but I’m not picking up the phone with a wad of notes in my hand.
