Nope, the 166.073 bezel don't fit the 16x.024 case.
Below is a compare shot of my 165.024 (RN) and my 166.073. On first sight completey same bezels. Font, triangle and everything. But the 166.073 is blue (did came in black also)....AND has other dimensions and a larger/wider "frame" on the backside (166.073 on the right).

The "blue grail" bezel from @omitohud (close-up would be nice, btw)... is besides the very rare blue color, in fact a type mostly found on the military SM300's. With a slightly different triangle and slimmer font than the normal "straight one, fat font" bezel found on many 166.024's (the last quick´and dirty compare picture; RN on the right with the slim straight One and sharp triangle bezel against the 166.024's fat straight One and rounded triangle bezel. The current bezel guides doesn't cover these aspects among others.

Txs Kox for clearing that up. I saw ofrei selling the blue bezel for case 166.073 n when I inquired with them, they said it won't fit the sm300 case. Here is the close up. Let me know what u think. [emoji120]

.

Well, it's a common misunderstanding. Yours is a correct 165.024 bezel and the MoD type (also found on civil watches, but not common). The question here is the color. As I said they do exist in blue, but have only seen a couple in the last 10 years. Yours seems to be blue or have a blue hue, but need a closeup in natural light to be sure. But I like it. Serial range (4-5 first digits)? CB case/caseback?

I don't have the watch on hand, but here is a pic indoor. I don't remember the serial number. Please educate me, CB case back? [emoji106]

165.024 cases were produced by either HF (Huguenin Freres) or CB ( Le Centrale Boites) - marked on the inside caseback along with the ref. no.
Asking because CB cases were produced in a much more narrow serial range and both informations will help confirm the bezel type... Yes, I'm a geek;-)

I can vouch for the military connection with blue inserts.
Had a '69 SM300 0552 with blue insert, wish I'd kept it.
I've seen another the same, not common knowledge, just mil collectors.
