Vintage Seamaster Quartz. Pusher Crown?

Hi All,

I have a recent addition to my small collection.

It is a Vintage Seamaster Quartz with a Pusher Crown.

I can see the indentation in the crown but have no idea how it works or

what a series of clicks in or released might do. Do they affect the dial display,

the date or the setting of the time?

I have delicately tried to press the crown in but can see no change or

movement on the dial.

Any information will be gratefully received. Thanks, Mart.

The crown actually has a second spring, so it moves separate from the stem. This way the button in the center can press further into the case.

The first movement I got did not have a stem (Or a case for that matter.) I got a complete one with an actual crown. Setting these is a bit weird. when there is no battery there is no power to advance the minutes. The hours are set using a magnetic slip clutch. The date is a sort of quickest mechanism. The date wheels are plastic. So they are probably prone to wear.

Easily understood directions-just what I wanted.
Credit for the clarity of these instructions goes to Omega themselves, they did a good job here. I can set my Seamaster quartz 1342 similar to yours from memory, for my beater Seiko, Casio and Timex quartz watches I need the pdf instructions on a computer screen while I set them, and all need three extra buttons sticking out of the case as well as the crown.

I am currently working through a 338 page manual for a new camera, and that's not the result of the same instructions repeated in 15 languages, this is all in "English".

BTW....
