Hi great knowledgable ones,

My wife has been given her late fathers Omega Seamaster 1332. It was purchased in Las Vegas in the 80's.

I have performed some research but have been unable to find this specific model on the internet, but I believe it was around the late 1970's? Its 32mm with an arabic face and a dual tone gold/silver metal strap and case. The strap seems pretty unique and I have not seen any similar in reference imagery. Attached are several photos, if any of you can pin point what it is?

Well it's an Omega watch with a 1332 Quartz movement, you might be able to see the model reference inside the case back.

Thanks for your help Webvan.

Do you, or anyone else, have advice on removing the case back without borking the watch?

I could of course google it, but what would be the point of this fantastic forum if not being a group of subject matter experts.

I would be interested to know why the "\7" was added to the movement number. And by whom of course. The 1332 is etched and the "\7" seems to be engraved and misaligned therefore something added after original manufacture. The 1332 is, as you thought, a mid-late 1970s movement and the style and markings of the dial are quite typical for that time. The bracelet is rather different though and without seeing markings would make me think it's aftermarket.

The case-back is a snap-fit and any watchmaker (or even battery booth operator if you feel bold) can open it.
