You will not find the insert , ever . Complete NOS bezel on eBay around $800. IF you find one at all....I gave you the best guy for the job before, contact him for making that insert. Or Omega for a full service and bezel. Which will cost quite a lot. Good luck!

Thanks, I shot him a message. Just waiting for a response.

I popped 2 offers on it, but got no where. I have a spare case missing the bezel, so would have been handy, but I’m happy to wait for a used item.

As you say, I hope it went to someone on here that really needed it.

Frankly, I doubt you’ll find one if these used for much less than what that seller was asking BIN.

Maybe so, but it’s all relative. I couldn’t justify the BIN as were it would have been nice, I’m not desperate for this particular bezel. If it had been an original acrylic SHOM bezel, I’d have bought it in a heart beat!!!

NOS and good used 60m bezels, even NOS and good use complete cases are still out there for sensible money… although they are getting harder to find and admittedly prices are rising. But if you’re prepared to wait long enough, there is always a chance of a bargain!

If it helps, these particular 60m bezels were fitted to 3 watches and came in 2 versions, the divers version and a GMT version:

Seamaster Cosmic 2000 Ref: 166.137
Seamaster Cosmic 2000 Ref: 166.160
Seamaster F300 Ref: 198.0054

I’m not saying you’ll find one tomorrow, but it always helps when you know what you’re looking for.

neither did the link to the auction to see what it went for.

It was £332 if I remember correctly, plus very extortionate shipping!!! And the import duty, if the seller declares it and the buyer get stung for it!

It’s still showing for me as well. $399 + 60 shipping.

@Davidt & @Andy_D You both are seeing $60 for shipping, which makes me wonder if that was calculated by the eBay Global Shipping Program? In my screenshot above the shipping is $35 and that from Mexico to the US where both myself and @sheepdoll are.

It would be worth finding out what Omega want for a service replacement, as they are still listed as available. The only thing I’d be personally concerned about is that, in the past, I’ve bought a NOS service replacement bezel for a cosmic and the insert was metal, rather than acrylic.

For me that would be a deal breaker, but for others it might not be.

Possibly, but I guess it comes down to where you are based?! Either way for me, as I’m not in a desperate rush for one, £381 plus the chance of import duty on top was enough to make a lower offer or walk away.

I was lucky enough to pick up a complete NOS 166.160 with a GMT bezel, 2.5 years ago from Switzerland for £235 delivered, so for me the figures didn’t add up.

Much less than the eBay sale...
