I'm looking for a competent independent watchmaker who can replace a crystal on my Cosmic 2000 diver. I recently bought it and i wasn't disclosed that it had a chip in the crystal. Ive been told that these cases are complicated and only an expert in them can change or service them
I'm in N. NJ. Any helpis appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum! You are right in that the Cosmic 2000s are trickier to open than most - you may find not every watchmaker will want to work on it (mine has worked on my Cosmic 2000, but with a bit of grumbling!).

I’m in a different part of the world to you so can’t make direct recommendations, but I would advise that you don’t try anything yourself and ensure whoever does look at your piece is experienced in that reference.

The diver is a really iconic member of the Cosmic 2000 line, so good luck! And, by the way, we love photos here, so please do post us some shots of the watch! Even with its damaged crystal…
