I bought an Omega Seamaster Soccer watch in Gibraltar in about 1973.
I wanted a chronometer as I was boarding a private sailboat to cross the Atlantic. My hope was to learn celestial navigation and therefor wanted accuracy...
The jeweler suggested the Omega and I bought it not realizing it was a soccer timer!
It has not run for years and I would like to have it serviced, the crystal replaced and it needs a new band.
I think I kept the original buckle
The watch came with a black leather band.
I might be interested in a stainless bracelet
How to choose a reliable watchmaker.. horologist?

How to choose a reliable watchmaker.. horologist?

Google: "site: omegaforums.net watchmaker Seattle" where Seattle is replaced with your nearest major city. If nothing comes up good, let us know your region and hopefully someone can advise.

Welcome to the forum, BTW!

Great watch and glad you ask before jumping!
My soccer timer service cost about $500 US 10years ago with some parts and while he was in New Jersey, I believe he has retired.
.Expect $8-1000 for a watch worth $3-4000.
Omega will quote a flat rate that might be ok or maybe not depending on what you want.
Historical or heritage piece?
You really don't have to do anything to preserve the watch or the value as long as you don't wind/wear it.
Collector's prefer "as-is"!
Be patient, read this https://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-soccer-timer-145-016-review.1768/ and figure out what the watch means to you and what you would like to see happen.
Mine will give you a good fight!
