There are some good articles out there describing the different variations of the Seamaster Soccer Timer 145.016, 145.019, and 145.020.
The 145.019 came with either a grey or white dial and an extra crown at the 10:00 to control the internal bezel. There were at least 3 different bezel variations. Black, Roulette, and Regatta.

My question is about the variation of hands seen on the grey face versions. Orange Hour, Min, Second hands with a white chrono seconds hand seems to be the most common.

However, I have seen different colored Hour, Min, Second hands

I have also seen several examples where the chrono second hand was different than the elongated triangle in the examples above.

Can someone tell me if it was normal for the factory to use different chrono hands during the assembly process or one year vs the next. I once came across an original owner of a watch with the different chrono hand but I wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I think it was not impossible, but I would say that the correct combination is orange hands for time function and white hands (with triangle central sweeping second hand) for chrono.

The thing that keeps me unsure is the fact that the white face versions came with different colored hands as well. I have seen several white time function hands with tritium and identical to each other. I'm was inclined to agree with you on the chrono seconds hand originally being the triangle however, when I see photos in articles like this... it makes me question.

I would not use that article as a reliable reference. I think that hand is a luminova hand also.
Concerning the white dial, this is the configuration I consider correct:
