I am preparing to have this Omega Seamaster Soccer Timer Chronograph Ref. 145.016 serviced and cleaned prior to offering it for sale elsewhere. When having it serviced, would it be advisable to have the crystal replaced, and the case and band buffed and polished to remove the normal wear signs?
Sell it completely as is. Most people who might be interested in something like this would prefer to have their own watchmaker do any servicing and refurbishment necessary.
Yep. And polishing the case/bracelet will turn off many buyers. one will rarely recoup the cost of a service with a higher sales price in vintage watches. Especially if you are not a dealer.
