    Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum. I am trying to identify the Seamaster that my dad recently showed me. It belonged to my Uncle, who gave it to my dad a long time ago. He said it is possible 1970's? It's not in great condition.
I was wondering whether someone with some expertise could shed any light on it for me please?
I have looked online and seen many similar, but not identical.
Any help with model, year, spec etc would be appreciated! Thanks for you help.

    Hi Alex,

my guess is 166.010, quite common watch from the second half of the 60ies up to early 70ies

Movement is a 562, crown on yours seems to be wrong, bezel seems to have a crack at 5

    Bracelet is aftermarket.

    Cheers

EDIT: I did not want to sound discouraging:
If you like the watch and it means something to you, you could have it cleaned and serviced, maybe a new watchband added and you will have a daily wearer with history!

    Hi Passover,

Not at all! Thank you for the information. I didn't realise he had it until the other day! It will be nice to pass on the info to my dad. Thanks again.

    Regards,

    Alex
