Did Omega produce this particular watch with hour and minute hands only, as in the photo uploaded? Advice greatly appreciated

 

That watch is missing the centre sweep seconds hand. Possibly a broken sweep pinion owing to the watch (left) not having the bezel or crystal.

The caliber will be engraved clearly on a bridge in the movement. No need to guess
