Hi....I am looking to purchase a 1962 gold Omega Seamaster Automatic men's dress watch, linen dial, 550 movement, 17 jewels, exactly as shown in the photo. It must be the EXACT same model. Same dial, hands, numbers, etc. as shown. Thank you for your help. Have a great day!

What online sales platforms have you searched so far?
I only stumbled upon this group accidently, so none I'm afraid.

Then you should since this is not an open marketplace.

Search online through eBay and other similar sources. Keep an eye on this thread. People can point you in the right directions but you need to do some leg work.

The “I want this exact watch, find it for me” isn’t going to go far with other members. Maybe an introduction to yourself will help your cause.

I would check out Chrono 24 and eBay. If you find a watch you're interested in purchasing you can post some photographs, price, etc. and the experts here can provide you with meaningful feedback.

I am simply hoping that someone who already owns a watch like this may wish to sell it. No need for rude assumptions.

Um, sorry we disappointed you.

Are you on a sophisticated Scavenger Hunt? Maybe we can help on the next item on your list, if so.

Better still, post the whole list and save time, there are many crazy collectors of many crazy things on this Forum that would jump at the chance to help out a fellow member.

There is one member who collects old outboard motors from the 1920's. Anything on your list like this?

I did look at Chrono24. They had some very close matches! I now feel much more confident that an exact model can be found. Thank you again for pointing me in a good direction rather than being snarky. I know nothing about watches. I'm just trying to find the same watch model that belonged to my late father that had been stolen. Many thanks.

Disappoint me? Not at all. I figured one of three might actually be helpful.

Rude assumptions? I am trying to help not get in trouble with the mods. As you already know you had your previous post deleted. You have already broken the WTB rules twice now:

Ah, got it......but there are rules to follow that the Mods enforce as you found out.

Sorry about your loss and good luck in your search.

This looks darn close: https://www.ebay.com/itm/177689931423 @ $1200. VERY much in need of service, and I hope the lugs are in good shape.

I did a google image search and came up with quite a few listings/posts, but without a size it isn't clear exactly what reference it is. But that is about as close as I could find.

I think that you want to make a Want to Buy (WTB) post. Please see the following sticky post in the classified forums. It describes how you can post a thread in the Want to Buy forum, which is where people look for these requests.

I think the responses to you have been straight up and respectful, it’s pretty much how the world works, learn a little, do some leg work, and see where it takes you. Or at the very least let us know the crazy price you are willing to pay for this exact watch and no leg work.

Hi Erich...I clicked the link but it would not come up. It says the page can not be found. So maybe sold? In any case, I so appreciate your help. Thanks so much!

Hi Dan....thank you for the good suggestion. That makes perfect sense. I did find the WTB section and read the pinned post information. From what I can see, it is a requirement to contribute 200 discussion posts before being allowed to add a WTB post. Is that correct? If so, I'm afraid that would make it impossible for me to post in that section.

OK, I have tried googling and searching on eBay with as much info as I can. I get so many come up that are very close to the correct model, but not quite the same! I suppose it's a matter of time. Thanks again for looking. Greatly appreciated.

I can't be the only one that is curious as to why it has to be so exactly the same?
