I would check out Chrono 24 and eBay. If you find a watch you're interested in purchasing you can post some photographs, price, etc. and the experts here can provide you with meaningful feedback.

I did look at Chrono24. They had some very close matches! I now feel much more confident that an exact model can be found. Thank you again for pointing me in a good direction rather than being snarky. I know nothing about watches. I'm just trying to find the same watch model that belonged to my late father that had been stolen. Many thanks.

I did a google image search and came up with quite a few listings/posts, but without a size it isn't clear exactly what reference it is. But that is about as close as I could find.
