·Today I have for sale this lovely hooded lugs Seamaster Automatic ref. 14363 in steel from the mid 1950's
The cream dial has both a smooth and satin finish with yellow gold dagger and Arabic indices and yellow gold dauphine hands. It is in excellent unblemished condition and a real stunner.
The 35mm steel case is in very good shape with its distinctive hooded lugs having very sharp facets. The bezel is also sharp and has some light scratching These wear very well on the wrist having an imposing wrist presence. The crown is the clover type with old logo.
The case back is in very good condition signed Waterproof and Seamaster on the outside and signed 14363 on the inner
Running an automatic calibre 501 with a serial number of 15.7 million it dates to around 1958 or so. It is winding and setting very smoothly and keeping good time. I bought it as having been serviced in 2023, but have no papers for this.
