Vintage Omega Jumbo "PSI" letter as 12 indice

Hello

I have such Omega Jumbo 38 mm.

Ref 2272

This what is intriguing me is indice on 12

It looks like greek letter PSI

Can somebody tell me more about it? Why it's there, what is the history of it?

I have a ref. 2660 from 1952, also 38mm with a honeycomb dial, that has the same exact trident at 12 o'clock. Haven't found any useful information on its history, so I'm also interested in learning about it. I've posted about it a while ago.
