@cristos71, @Peemacgee, Ok so I am getting confused now. Does this mean my watch 14381/2 is a Franken or just non Deluxe model? Or is it just the gold dials with ref. 14382. Sorry for being a bit thick

Ok, the case reference for all solid gold versions is 14381/2. This is a dual reference case, so it basically means both the references 14381 and 14382 in gold are housed in this case design and they share the case reference number 14381/2.

The Deluxe version, which has both a solid gold case and solid gold dial, has the reference number 14382 and all other versions, be they steel, gold cap or solid gold have the reference 14381.

Other examples would be 2852/2853 and also 168.005/6 for the solid gold cases where 2853 and 168.006 would be the Deluxe references

Just checked mine.
Only has 14381 then a space then 82
