Thanks, yes I came across that one too. ๐Ÿ˜ The lugs are similar but still a bit different, missing one "angle" if that makes sense lol.
Yes, not exactly the same, similar, but it shows that they were using cases with faceted lugs in the 1940's.

I've been looking at this 1941 cal. 83 IWC, but can't seem to find anything similar online, especially the lugs which have a sort of "diamond cut" shape, also wondering if the dial and hands are original?

Is this a legit/original IWC piece? Dial does have some patina and marks, but for a 80+ year old watch might be too clean? (service dial or redial?)

What a beautiful case. I can see the evolution of this to the cal 89 version of the 810 case.
