Link?? Heuer is one of my favorites after omega. Much harder though to find for affordable prices though although I always keep an eye out for the Zales/Baylor examples.

Edit: OK I googled it. Something else I can command-R on.

Re Camaro values. I’m not going to directly say what I think a members watch is worth in an open forum. Especially when I’m not putting my money where my mouth is and making an offer.

I will say after posting yesterday it got me thinking about current Camaro values, especially of entry levels pieces, so I’ve been doing some research and I think I over-cooked their value.
I’d now say the entry level silver dial Camaros with two sub registers range from £2200 to maybe £2700. This is for watches worth owning. I’m sure poor examples can be had for less. At the top end I’d expect a bright white dial with no marks/damage and nice yellow plots. The classic Camaro case should retain its defined edges and sun burst finish.
I’d also add that I’d expect a tachy scale at the top end of these prices with non tachy versions being worth less.

This is purely my opinion. I’m sure others will have different thoughts and I’d suggest anyone considering buying/selling a Camaro check sold prices on eBay, OF and Heuer Forum for examples.

@Davidt thanks! In Your opinion is the price difference between Camaro with val 7733 and 92 with column wheel?
Even within the short-lived overall Camaro production, the 9220 only had a very limited run, quickly being replaced by the Valjoux 7730 movement and bearing a 30-minute register. This in turn means the 9220 Camaro is far more scarce than most models that came after.

I’d say all things being equal there’s a slight preference for a V92 but overall condition and attractiveness will generally override that.

Just to chip in here as I thought I oughta. Yes-David I agree with your comments, both on condition, 9220 vs 7743 and price. (I've already commented on @sneer 's lovely 9220 elsewhere.) That said the Camaro market is relatively small and you do tend to find people are looking for a specific model, so are prepared to pay perhaps slightly over the general market value for one, especially if it is in good condition.

@mahomes regarding the question of the lume-it can be redone but would have to be by an expert. We are lucky to have someone particularly excellent here in the UK. Even so, it will never be quite the same as one with original lume. On that 7743 example in particular, the case looks quite well used, which would detract from value in a number of people's eyes.

Overall though, I still think Camaros are excellent value for money compared with their counterparts-both Heuer and non-Heuer chonos.
Best, Steve

Yeah, it's probably hard to make the same as the original lume. Could you please share some of his works get an idea of how it would look?

Apart from reluming the hour markers and hands, did he paint the dial too?

No the dial body is factory original and untouched. Just the hour markers and hands were relumed.

Alright, the dial body looked quite different in the before pic. Might be due to the old crystal.

Yes it’s just dust, debris and a scratched crystal.

Thanks for sharing. That’s some great work right there on your camaro. How much can you expect for that kind of work if I may ask?
