This is the most expensive watch I bought, and I made a strategical mistake that probably caused me to pay $400 more to it then I could've paid - with a watch like this, you generally compete with one/two other person, for example sometimes when I'm deep in work, I forget to bid and when I check, that watch sells for $200 less then average etc. - anyway, TL;DR: Whoever the competition was, we could've hurt each other less, in this instance, if I just bid last second, it could've cost way less than $2000 - but I was too concentrated on checking the watch that I didn't check the rules of the game

Thanks, it looked like a 4 to me too, but the watch needs to be 19mm, but #4's are 18mm? How does that work - however the stamp does look like a 4

It might well be that the End-links are correct and your statement above is wrong 😉

Haha, no I'm not sure actually

I actually had a Seamaster 30 before that I sold because it was a re-dial and it didn't keep time well - I thought I tested it with a 19mm strap to see how it looked, looking at the old photos, indeed it's 18mm and I used an 18mm strap I had for Seiko's 😀

No need to shave, #4 = 18mm 😀

True 😁.
So maybe shaved #6 endlinks (blasphemy....) !

Get a pair of vernier callipers it’ll save you from guessing in future 😀
Haha, good ones are expensive, cheap ones are bad - might as well use a ruler 😀

Thanks a lot for the help and input, I'm really, really excited for the watch

Nice watch and bracelet combo. Don't beat yourself up on the price - at least you have a nice watch, which isn't always the case. Enjoy!

Sorry, why 7912? Could it not be 1506 or even 1039 or 1035 - matched incorrectly? Whats written on the clasp?

It could be a 1506 but chances are low.
It can def not be a 1039 or 1035.

Let’s see the inscription on the clasp.
