Dear All
First of all thank you to the administrators for the efficiency and congratulations on the beautiful forum. I recently purchased a Constellation on an action site, the price was ok (not super cheap not super high), but I am a newbie and I wanted to know your opinion if it is real as I am afraid I did a bold move...
From my research it should be a Constellation mod. 196.1070
https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-constellation-omega-st-196-1070
I know they produced them both in Tbar and normal
from the reference number on the back I believe it was produced on 1989
The logo and engravings seems to me correct but as you can see on my profile I am not an expert.
The Caliber as well seems correct 1445

The only thing that concerns me is that there is no logo on the crown...
What do you expert say? Please help me...
Thank you very much
Dave

Thank you very much Archer I am ecstatic!!! You are 100% sure right? You made my day/week/year!!! May I kindly ask you what is the ref. number you are saying and where did you find it? Is it possible that the crown was replaced with one not original or you think it came out like that? Last question (possibly a very silly one sorry...) out of curiosity I saw on your profile Omega Qualified Watchmaker is it really that or is a title that you got in the forum due to your experience? Hope this question does not bother you... Thank you very very much again from a fellow archer... I really appreciate your help and time and really love all that I am learning from this forum. Thank you @jeppe888 as well for the kind reply

Not only he is an Omega Qualified Watchmaker, but one of the best in the business. The reference number is found on the inside of the case back.

I used the Omega Extranet (for Omega employees and approved independent watchmakers like myself) to look up the serial number of the watch, and this gives the reference number:

Serial number: 51497727
Article ref: 18212011

On the crown, there's no photo of it available, but they would typically come with a logo. The replacement crown is part number 069ST42134, and I checked to see if by chance I had one in stock - I don't. But I just did a quick Google search, and here is a photo of the crown - it has a logo:

Thank you so very much Archer you are really the best!!!! I really appreciate your quick and detailed feedback. I am trying to source a new crown, the art. reference were so useful.... Then finger crossed I believe I will try my first "open heart" surgery... I have seen some tutorials and seems pretty doable. If you guys have any tips please let me know. Thank you again 😀!!!!
