Hei Every one,
I am brasilian and I starting geting in love with omega, special the vintage ones. But i had a very bad experience in the past and bought a fake one thinking it was real. So, i do not want to passed for it again. Please, can someone can help?! I found a vintage an Omega Constellation Day-Date from the year 60s.
He said the previously owner said it was 1967 or 1968 and have the original crown and class. I really like it. The price is 750 dolars. Can someone look on this picture and tell if it is reall omega and if worth buy, PLEASE?

Most would advise against this watch. It is overpriced, and the case back is missing the iconic Constellation insignia.

There are many vintage Constellations on the market - wait for a better example.

The watch looks authentic to me, and it has a nice dial. However, the case and case-back are not in good condition.

Constellations are dress watches and this one is in poor condition.
The linen dial looks nice but the gold cap covering is polished round and there is a large ding in the case at 9 o’clock.
the gold medallion has been lost or removed.

Unfortunately, if I recall correctly, Brazil (and some other S American countries) have outrageous import duties.

The best way to know is having a watch maker open the watch and verify by looking at the complications.

This watch only has a day/date complication. What would having a watchmaker examine that help with evaluating this watch?

Still, not the best/most practical advice considering this forums collective knowledge can provide this information without having to first buy the watch.

I bought . I live in norways, and the watchs day is in Norwagian. As well if i bought outside of norway i shoulded pay the shippiment and plus 25% on top on taxs. That why i bought it.

He was saying the watch should get opened by a watchmaker and the complications should be looked at. The complications.

I but I bought it today because i live in Norway and the watch day/date is in norwagian and if i would buy outside of Norway, i would pay 25% more on tope of it. NOT COOL!
Well, Love make me do strenge things. I am doing it on myself right now but at the same time i have a big small on my face. 😁.
