·no pictures of the movement but a 60 day waranty issued, so ample time to take it to a watch shop

·Seems like a good reason to ask for the movement Pic. If you think you are buying from a dealer, it shouldn't be a big deal.

However, it could be a simple mistake by the seller.
To settle the confusion - The only way to be sure would be to ask for a picture of the movt.

·Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that case is supposed to have a circularly brush top surface, which is in pretty poor condition. So you would not want to have it polished.

Unfortunately, they are not identical.
One is chronometer rated and the other isn't.
The 1012s appeared in later non-chronometer rated Constellations.
