·No. And often the strap was added at the point of sale anyway. You can use google images to look for period advertising to see the style of strap that Omega considered appropriate.

Most importantly, the value won’t increase by more than the restoration costs. So don’t attempt that to create value, you won’t. If you want to sell it, simply clean it with a dry cloth and take good (!) pics and put it on eBay.
If you want to wear it, have it serviced by a professional, not by Omega. He or she will clean the watch, polish the plexi, but won’t or shouldn’t polish the case and do nothing to the dial. This cannot be brought back to factory spec, unless you let somebody repaint it. It’ll be white and shiny but you’ll destroy most of the value of the watch.
You’ll invest a few hundred €/$/£ for that process. The value of the watch will increase by a fraction of that, my guess would be to 1200-1300€ or so.
