Today I am offering another of my personal collection - this one is an Omega Seamaster, but not just any Seamaster, this is one of the first series sub second versions that inspired the Seamaster 1948 that is currently sold by Omega.

This model is famous for its iconic design that was Omega's answer to a design brief set to create a sporty rugged timepiece that was suitable for everyday, but nonetheless somewhat received, making for a very popular watch for all occasions.

Dial: As you can see for a watch that is 72 years old, this dial is in incredibly good shape. As far as I can tell it is practically blemish free, but please observe the pictures closely. This model is famous for its iconic design that as features a small seconds sub dial, and numerals at 12, 3 and 9. Original lume dots present. Hands appear to be original too, with lume in tact.

Case: The case is also in very good condition. All chamfers are clearly in tact. It measure approximately 34mm in diameter without crown and the crown appears to be original.

Movement: This watch houses the 342 calibre movement which I believe was one of the first automatic movements produced by Omega. I've owned this watch for around a year and it has been running strong, although I've not had it serviced. I recommend that the buyer has the watch serviced, although this is of course up to your discretion.

Strap: This case fits 18mm wide straps and will be supplied with a strap out of my spares, the buyer is welcome to choose from a selection at the point of purchase. The one shown in the photograph is not included.

Box/papers: Time appropriate late 1940s early 1950s automatic Omega box. No papers.

Please observe all photos and the description with care as I offer no returns.
