Any time you can post some timekeeping data, it would be appreciated.

Omega did finally update the work instruction with timekeeping tolerances, but the numbers haven't changed much. Average daily rate (over 3 positions only) must fall between 0 and +16 seconds per day, and the Delta at full wind is allowed to be 20 seconds, and 24 hours after full wind it can be 30 seconds...pretty loose tolerances for this.

Thanks for your video. I really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful re-creation of the c.321 and I'm hopeful that I will get a call at some point in the near future. Fingers crossed.

This is based on the Speedmaster 105.003 right?

Two things I didn't know and that surprised me a little:

1- The 105.003 was the model that Omega sent to Omega for the Space Flight Certification? Only after certification did Omega send Nasa the new "crown protection" version of the watch to be used on the moon missions?

2- The 105.003 was actually worn on the moon surface by Gene Cernan (Apollo XVII)?

Did I get this right?

I don’t think we should be holding our breath for this information coming out of any promotional material. Which is what this “video” feels like it is.

Perhaps it feels like that, but Omega has and had no role in this video. I bought the watch on Tuesday and we shot the video on Friday without Omega knowing about this. It is my own watch and just gave some background info on it. I will put the watch on my Witschi later on and see how it performs.

Excellent review sir love this review and love 321 too. Keep going I know you love Speedmaster too. But yes with this price point people expect this watch would be perfect or near. So Omega should take care a few minute to correct that regulator.

@Robert-Jan by now you know that negative attitudes penetrate a small, but loud minority across every hobby. If it was priced at €7500 people would still complain. Remember that many of the keyboard complainers and experts would not even buy it if it was available. No product was ever created to please all customers

It's human nature actually and you see it in all aspects of life. Butt-hurt and jealousy, and I couldn't agree more that most of them wouldn't or couldn't even buy it if it was cheaper also!

True. Nobody has to like my watch though, I am fine with that. I am too old to care what others think of stuff I spend my money on. It is more the intentions of the video they put into doubt. We just wanted to show the new watch, no commercial thing whatsoever. The alu hat can be taken off ;-)

1. Indeed, December 1964 onwards NASA engineer James Ragan tested 3 watch brands among which the 105.003 Speedmaster chronograph model which came best in all tests by March 1965. On June 1, 1965, NASA’s Gemini & Flight support procurement office adopted the Omega Speedmaster as its official flight-qualified time piece.
The first delivery to NASA, April 23 1965, was the first & onely batch to contain 105.003 models ( 17 or 24 delivered ?)
2. Gene Cernan wore his NASA-issued 105.003 (NASA #28) during Gemini IX in 1966, Apollo 10 in 1969 and even on Apollo 17 in December 1972.
During his Apollo 17 Lunar EVAs, Cernan wore the 105.003 underneath the A7-LB spacesuit on a Jacoby Bender steel mesh bracelet... Astronaut Cernan considered this Speedmaster as a lucky charm, mostly wore it on the inside of his lefthand wrist !

Thanks for the vid, i for one appreciate seeing detailed vids of any new Omega watch being posted on this board. these videos I'm sure will give alot of people the relevant resources and information to make up their minds on purchasing the watch or perhaps just admiring it. I mean for me that is the whole point of the boards to gather information and discuss details on new and old OMEGA watches.

And as i mentioned before nobody is holding a gun to anybody's head to watch the video and purchase the watch.
