I'm personally not sure as to the reliability of jomashop, but for a brand new vacheron overseas at around the same price as a lot of rolex sports pieces, pretty good value no? https://www.jomashop.com/vacheron-constantin-4500v-110a-b483.html
My jomashop purchases have been considerably less investment, both for watches and other products, but as to the company and its services thus far I've had no issues and have always received intact, properly packed merchandise. The only exception might be considered a very inexpensive Seiko, which was not well padded around the exterior manufacturer box. The watch itself was still protectively wrapped and pillowed inside with all proper docs, as my others have been.
You can probably negotiate with a VC AD and get a discount. VC's don't fly off the shelf on a normal basis. Try it first.
The new Overseas is a great watch. I love that you can easily swap between bracelet, rubber strap, and leather strap. Very versatile and does actually look great in all 3 forms.
I've bought watches on jomashop, they don't come with original manufacturer warranty papers so I won't buy anything above a couple hundred dollars from them.
I’d avoid Jomashop for a high end piece like the overseas. You can source a new or like new one from a gray seller for right around $17k and it’ll come with the ad warranty...
Agreed, I had my issues with Jomashop after the Hamilton manual wind incident. It was a new watch, that I wore infrequently, and one day the main spring slipped the arbor and I had to mail it in. Did not come back the way it went cosmetically for a rarely worn watch. Never dealt with them again.
Agree as well.... and I’m very surprised about this offering. Is this without VAT? The retail price in Europe is EURO 21k (which is appr. $ 22.800) and it’s not easy to source.
