Sorry to hear that. I hope you and the Mrs. only have minor symptoms and get well soon.

My fiance, who is an active cancer patient on immunotherapy, got her 3rd Pfizer shot Tuesday morning. She started feeling tired right away and was a wreck yesterday - low grade fever, nausea & vomiting, aches, head & body aches, the whole works. She's better today, thankfully. She reacted to the first two shots much worse than I did, so I think it's as much about her personal chemistry as anything else.

As with the first two, they weren't asking for proof of anything for anyone who went in for the booster, so if you're so inclined (and in a locale where they're offered) you too could probably get a booster even if you're not technically eligible. I may wait a while longer.

We have tickets to Hawaii in a few weeks, so I'm really not happy to see cases on the rise and the Governor asking people not to come. If they put the quarantine back in effect I'll have to cancel.

Had my first Pfizer last week, my girlfriend and her eldest are getting theirs tomorrow. I’m pretty terrified of needles and had a pretty extreme reaction to the whooping cough vaccine as a kid but I was fine just a dead arm for 24 hours after. We’re still COVID free in Queensland here at the moment but seeing how rapidly its moving in the southern states I’m glad we were already registered and at the top of the list when they opened it to under 40s here as it’ll be here eventually.

I’ve got a sister who’s a radiation oncologist and a bunch of elderly family members that have every illness on earth yet are still clinging to life in their 80s and 90s so definitely want to minimize the chances of passing it on.

We have first case of death as side effect (suspected) of third shot booster in Indonesia. It is still a very rare occurrence ( probably below 1:500,000).
The recipient is a doctor in South Sulawesi, with hypertension comorbidity. She had 2 shots of Sinovac before, and got Moderna as 3rd shot.
She was recommended to postpone her booster shot because of her high blood pressure (180 mm Hg) at the site. She insisted to get the shot and died two days after.

Had my first Pfizer yesterday and so did my wife, I had no effects at all and didn't even know the nurse had done it, had to ask her twice if she was sure she had done it.

My wife however a whole different story with extreme pain and muscle spasm as the needle went in with ongoing and growing pain in her arm "dead arm" still ongoing today more than 24 hours after with mild headaches etc.

6 Weeks till we get our second jab but will definitely want a 3rd jab booster if made available as we are frequent travellers to China.

The UK joint vaccine and immunisation committee has voted not to roll out vaccines to children. This vindicates points I made in earlier evidenced / open question posts now removed. Information below is taken from BBC news (anything I put up is factual on serious topics - to the best of my knowledge).

Some evidence also shows the kids natural immunity might last much longer / be stronger than the vaccines provide - which would do away with the need for booster shots.

I suspect they will be overturned as irrespective of the do no harm oath, failure to vaccinate the kids will hold back a vaccine passport system.

BBC news today:-

The UK's vaccine advisory body has refused to give the green light to vaccinating healthy children aged 12-15 years on health grounds alone.

The JCVI said children were at such a low risk from the virus that jabs would offer only a marginal benefit.

The UK's four chief medical officers have now been asked to have the final say, and consider the wider impact on schools and society.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid says a decision will be made shortly.

The JCVI did advise widening the existing vaccine programme to include an extra 200,000 teenagers with specific underlying conditions.

Doctors identified that children with chronic heart, lung and liver conditions were at much higher risk of Covid than healthy children.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid said he had written to the chief medical officers in the UK's four nations to ask them to consider the vaccination of all 12-15 year olds "from a broader perspective".

Around half of children in this age group are thought to have had Covid, providing them with natural immunity anyway.

The judgement call remains very tough.

Not sure how the mods let this stand on a serious thread with medical heath guidance implications - not a place for stupid jokes - especially when any serious information with an evidenced counter narrative is removed by the mods. Not seeing how this post above is in anyway related to a vaccine roll call.
Well then...there's only one thing to do. It's gone. Easy peasy. I'm sorry you don't understand. And yes, it is all quite serious.

have fun.

PS. for those who missed it and may be interested... it's still around.

Just found out a prior co-worker has been on a ventilator for a week. She's a young mother with a great little boy. Met her when she was just starting with the company. She was a bright, energetic, joyful person who I unofficially mentored. One of those people you want good things to happen to.

She was going to get vaccinated next week our mutual friend said. I feel sick inside.

I hope you all get the opportunity as soon as possible to get your vaccines. Stay safe.

I got the Moderna. It was unpleasant, but also a huge relief.
Nice shot...of the Seamaster I mean.

It's unfortunate that there seems to be a significant number of breakthrough infections in those who are fully vaccinated. That being said, I haven't heard of any cases in fully vaccinated individuals that resulted in ICU admission or death. I'm in the U.S. and I simply can't understand how nearly half of our adult population remains unvaccinated. That segment is simply a petri dish for new variants, including possibly vaccine resistant variants, to emerge. It's worrisome.
