I really like the leather straps and the colours of the some of the models, but the sided shape of the watch and Roman numerals put me off. I wish they’d base this line on the old 60’s constellations.

I prefer the larger 41mm size, and agree that the case shape is a step towards the Globemaster, but I really would have preferred this to be a fully integrated bracelet watch (as Omega pioneered in the early sixties) with a little more water resistance. I've heard this particular model is wildly popular in China (in the 39mm variant) so it's unlikely that any of our opinions here really even matter.

I am sure that a bracelet option will eventually materialise, but I am genuinely curious as to why you'd want more than 50M of WR? What exactly do you subject your dress watches to? 😀

I really don't like that bezel broken up by the two metal pieces on each side. Hard pass.

OMEGA: Please take note. Here's a suggested formula for success with the revamped Constellation line: Keep the current Globemaster (except for the annual calendar version). Then, talk to the design department and update THESE with larger case sizes, a METAS certified master chronometer movement and no display case back and then we’ll talk. You’ve created classics before. You can do it again. It can't be that hard. You have many great references from the 50's and 60's to work with.

These remind me of the Double Eagle watxhes that Omega used to produce; maybe still do, haven't checked lately. Big, bold watches with a bit of Vegas style. I kind of like them....

Wow, in fact they're exactly like the 2020 constellations 😲

Thanks for posting. Just my own views o'course, but
Little pantomime at 07:56 - 😡 nul points
Watch itself - hurts to say, YMMV, etc, but 🤮 That said, the claws could still get somewhere style-wise but not like this, not like this...

I want the silky dial to be kept on the globemaster constellation dial, please omega.

Your picture made me do a double take on this watch. Def not curious at all when I scrolled through the omega site. They should hire you as a hand model.

If there's one thing I can't stand on a watch it has to be Roman numerals and the modern Constellation line has been stuck on them for way too long now. A big pass from me.
Totally agree. There are so many watches out there (not just Omega) which I like but will never buy because of roman numbers.

The Constellation's of the past had great designs, the claw has never appealed to me.

Getting better design-wise, but still not great. If Omega is committed to the roman numerals, then they should move from the bezel to the dial just like the first generation of Constellation Manhattans. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the hour markers/hashmarks move to the bezel -- again like the first generation Manhattans from the early-1980s.

What I don't understand is why Omega has failed to develop the Globemaster line further -- seems like it would be the logical spot in the line-up for a GMT with a pie pan dial...

Agree that the Globemaster is a much better looking watch in my eyes.

Options
How the two-tone metals integrate into the design is interesting. I prefer the SS with SS bezel but I like the different color and metal options.

Design wise I feel like these latest constellations look superior to the January 2020 offerings. However, for me its is not enough and I would have rather all these new dials been given to the pie pan globemaster which is in desperate need of some variety between the standard silver and blue (annual calendar variation not included) . I mean they just recently this year released the bigger sized constellations but I guess these watches sell and the globemasters dont.
