Universal Geneve Watches On Ebay

Not eBay, but something for UG collectors to be wary of nonetheless...

Somehow the watch has gained filled out papers and a box... :whipped:
Sure it is common to add blank papers and a box to make a set, but filling them out with serial numbers and dates seems quite fraudulent to me...

Clearly redial but the Spillman case looks sharp if those photos can be trusted.
I assume somebody had a nice deal here.

Perhaps. I tried and tried with the seller from before it was posted on here, but no luck and no replies despite some pretty reasonable offers. Maybe it’s been sold, but maybe he’s just pulled it to do a bit more research.

Interesting early Compur. Unfortunately it's too rough for me, but I haven't seen this dial very often. It does appear in Sala, although apparently in larger cases.

Hands don’t belong there. Case wear and the very clean dial sends warning bells.
Case almost looks chrome plated.

FYI we removed this image as the owner claimed copyright on it and demanded it be taken down.
