I have a suspicion that the links from the 18mm bracelet will probably fit these and they are not so hard or expensive to find.

Thanks LouS, I have been working hard on spotting them, and unlike other ones it was not obvious for me on that one, so thanks again

Curious as to what gave it away for you LouS? It looks pretty good to me except the one 4 in the left register is different from the rest.

A number of give aways. Subdials look a bit not shapely. The ink on the numerals are also not neat, 0, 6 and 8, the round shapes are wobbly. Allow me to provide a link to a proper example to compare.

On a quick flick through Sala, can't find any cases shaped like that in the tricompax section?

I agree with your findings. However, although the sala book is a very good reference, it is not complete. It is puzzling how such a rare combination could have been missed though ...

I am on the side of caution on this one. The owner stated that the reference and serial had polished away. Doubtful. On such an early reference, they were chiseled on. What surprises me is the position of the calendar and moonphase set buttons which match the 287 movement. It would have taken some work to get those to match up.

What I am also not so sure of is the extent that the set buttons stick out. Unusual ...

It is redialed....

Thanks for the answer.
Redial as in reprainting the numbers onto an imperfect dial or generating a totally wrong dial?
