I was planning to make a run at this one just for the parts. I need the end links but if you look closely, these UP links have been filed down to fit into the 18mm case. I don't want that. Still, the bracelet is hard to source and that's an original crystal with the UG shield and date window. An extra movement is always good to have in the spare part box. The watch itself doesn't do it for me as the case is quite worn. As always, it comes down to price.

I was looking to the bracelet also. I would be very surprised if this one goes cheap...

Very nice polerouter which looks original (dial, crystal, crown). Case and case back have the kojak syndrome but hey, you cant have everything! Considering bracelets go for an arm and a leg, even if case is polished, it is likely to reach a good price.

That would depend on the endlinks, no? What if they were endlinks for polerouters rather than Polerouter subs/chrono's.

UKP 1K easy especially if they have correct end links (now pretty much rarer than hens teeth). I know a fella that recently sold a set of UM end links for £325. We are in uncharted territory when it comes to original UG bracelets and not surprising considering the huge sums an original 60;'s tri-compax goes for ...

AFAIK, the UP endlinks (like those in the auction) fit on Tri Compax with slight modifications

I believe you left out the word "stinker" at the end of that sentence.

Just a clarification. Shouldn't this be thread more about great finds on the bay?

That would ne nice, but sadly, in operation it is pot luck...

and often the pot is of the chamber variety.

In fairness, there is no "Recommended" in the thread title. But there should be.

I did try...

But this original thread Is pretty well established...

That just goes to show that the nascent world of UG collecting is full of inquirers and damned short on recommenders.

What do you think of this one, dial looks OK to me, case I don't know...
Any advice welcome...

It looks like the microtor has been grinding rubbing inside the case back and although this question has been brought up (a fait couler bcp d'encre) many times, I still wonder about the crosshairs going through the letters.

Hands, dial and crown are original.
