Ok, I can see it now, but what's the point of it ? Nobody will bid more than $1625 for this watch.

apparently they will. It's up to $2,517 with more than three hours to go - two bidders duking it out in pigheaded glory...

It sold for $2650. I should consider selling mine : )
More seriously, This is the second Polerouter Broad Arrow selling for this price. We already discuss the first one (with Microtor) here. A dedicated thread also exist on the forum. I don't see a collector spending this amount of money on such a watch without reason.

I'm curious to know your point of view on this auction.

For those of you with deep pockets, there is Tri-Compax Panda for sale (or trade) in Geneve. Original bracelet for 11 000 CHF. Sellers pictures. By deep I mean deeper then mine, which are pretty shallow (deep enough for my hands so I'm happy).

In today's market, the price seems quite reasonable to me given that it's in very nice condition and a panda variant.

The seller is a Swiss collector and you can see more of this watch on his IG @balthasardepury if anyone is interested.

Was just referring that it was out of my range.

I think it is well priced for what it is and I don't see anything suspicious in bidding. I often bid to find how high the bidder has gone and then wait till the end to go some more .... Just helps build a picture.

Best way to spot shill bidding is to look at previous sales and identify similar patterns, buyers and low feedback bidders bidding on sellers lots. You can only have so many friends and shill bidders (due to their scamming nature) usually have very few. Just a matter of time before they are uncovered.

Absolutely invaluable. And free, but it is nice to throw the owner a few dollars every once in a while.

Yes, I share your thoughts. And the bezel is usually fill with luminous compound.
