Not on eBay, just received some photos from the seller. No photos of movement.
Opinions on the dial? 🙁

Remarkable: the collection of the late Mr Lang will be auctioned. He was one of the foremost experts on chrono's and writer of one of the standard books on them:

I already posted a very questionable Movado: click

Another watch is this 22541: https://www.bonhams.com/auction/303...nt-mecanique-tri-compax-ref-22541-circa-1945/. Bonhams can obviously not be bothered to tell that this is a blatant redial.

The conditions report said the UG dial is refinished and also says it is not running. Don't know if the report on the Movado mentions anything as I didn't look at that one.

Interesting. In the description they use a lot of text but don't state it

Bunch of redials in that auction so I checked reports on a few and they actually mentioned it. Though you have to download the report as not in brief description of the lots.

Also seems like pocket watches is where that auction is at its best but honestly not what I focus on so didn’t look at closely.

The case has issues....its disclosed in the description but I had to ask for additional pics (because I was genuinely interested)

This explains the reasonable price (given box and papers...)

I thought if someone could work their magic using laser welding or whatever it is they do these days to repair cases, it might be worth bargaining for, but the dial plots seem too washed out to me to be appealing.

I’ve got to think of it could be repaired, they’d have done it. As far as I know, laser welding is generally a surface treatment and couldn’t be used to facilitate a structural repair like this.
