According to the seller, the watch is intact and everything is original.

According to some articles I have read, the TriCompax of the 40s had the moon with the face and from the 50s they started using the plain moon, right?

that’s a service dial and the moonphase disc replaced with later version. The exact switch over date from face to faceless is not known, but this serial is too early for faceless. Pretty expensive as well.

It shares some features indeed. And case number between lugs is rare

I once made a nice comparison of similar dials to this one (but can't find it anymore). This 21281 may be correct: https://www.ebay.com/itm/235541162568

Only UG in my collection that is similar but mine is only 33.5 mm and has Arabic numerals instead of Roman numerals.

Hey guys, I was wondering if ya'll would offer some advice on this watch I found. The dial looks impeccable and is claimed to be untouched, what do you guys think? Crown is unsigned and is a reference 22283 s-l1600.jpg

This is a “service dial”. Made by UG but not original to the watch. Can be easily recognized by “Tri Compax” instead of “Tri-Compax” (no dash) and by the specific layout. It seems that only one graphic design of these service dials existed.
The original dial would have been something with an early 50s vibe. 😀
Dial and hands are wrong for this reference?
