Yes …
The dial has spider hairlines too, which I don't any problems with, and it makes it even more interesting. I don't know if I could wear a 31mm case... what is your opinion on the wearability of such case size nowadays?

As with dressy things like Calatrava and this, one can admire but too damned small for my big wrist. My minimum is 34 mm and it needs to be SS and sporty.

Yes, I am of the same thought but I am very tempted to acquire it for my collection. I would have a hard time wearing it though... I don't have watches smaller than 35mm.

Someone really went to town in the random parts bin. I'm surprised this kind of thing gets auctioned at Sothebys. I don't know if people there don't know any better or just don't care.

The "professional and qualitative"restorer was shaking a bit, though
(at least they don't try to hide it's a redial)

Got home, decided to buy it and it had been sold... Oh well

I'm still learning. Leaving aside whether it is original to this watch, is the dial a total fake, or just a touched up minute recorder?

Would have expected a 5-digit reference with a 700k movement
700k movements does not exist. I think they made an error in the reference and that it should be '7241'. This is also - sort of - in line with the serial

Would have expected a 5-digit reference with a 700k movement, and the round-top 3 is a concern, but a nice dial nonetheless

It’s always interesting when critical parts are not shown. EG, no inside outside caseback shots. I however stopped at the dial.

Then.. the Caliber 386 is mounted on the Universal Geneve Compur 30.

Maybe it was a compur 30 before the dial reprinted
