A) I have never seen a dial like that. B) Something off about where the case meets crystal. C) the printing seems poor.

I find it very hard to reconcile that amount of corrosion around the bezel with such a pristine dial. It's a UG for chrissakes...

Impossible to say with these pics. However, if you have a look at IG (btw. it would be nice to post the links of the pics also), although pics are still not good, there seem to be some irregularities between the inner and the outer circle. This can be due to the poor pic quality, but can also be the result of somthing else.

Always try to do that but I was lazy this time 😁

'As is often the case with dials from this era, the present example displays a no-longer-glossy matte black dial. This remarkably charming visage truly extenuates its antiquated appeal. Initially paired with yellow gold lume-filled hands, the watch now displays a pair of hollowed sword hands which gives it a distinct personality with a unique flair.' Perhaps they should have mentioned something about what exactly this is supposed to be:

Something else does not really add up:
- 618.790 has 25 as number (i.e. the sequence in the batch) https://www.chrono24.nl/universalgenve/compur--id24929490.htm
- 618.835 is 70 (which adds up because 835-790=45 and 25+45 = 70)
https://omegaforums.net/threads/som...ld-do-me-a-little-favour.153136/#post-2086810
- the one above is 618.885 and 48. 885 should be 120 (885-835 = 50 so 70+50 = 120). Or if the batch number is correct the serial should be 790 + (48-25) = 813

Sala has the following dial:

Our friends at AQ are on the roll again: https://live.antiquorum.swiss/lots/view/1-6EWDHO/universal
Interesting caseback. Normally the numbers are on the inside.... (I think the serial will be 1.066.5xx)
I DM'd them on Insta that this is clearly a Franken but guess what: https://live.antiquorum.swiss/lots/view/1-6S7HQZ/universal It's back...

Edit: also mailed them and it will be taken down. Right way to go I think

This is a strange one: reference 22223 but no serial. Movement numbers does not really fit with the 2 batches I have on record: 874k serials and 1.173k (which have 220k movements). Having said that: the caseback itself looks legit. Link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165812736429

The black one at Christies doesn't look like a redial to me...

Interesting 22409 sold today. Serial 901k so 1st batch, movement 211k which is basically way too high. However the interesting thing is that the movement number perfectly fits into the 2nd batch which has serials of 1.009k. This may mean that these batch are closer connected than I thought they would be.

The hands are not fully correct IMHO, see last pic for a comparison,
Hands on the right are fine (although not completely sure on the chrono hand), on the left, the chrono hand is definitely wrong.

My Compur for comparison:

Your hour hand is different from the one right above isn't it?
