Indeed. I have only 3 of them recorded so I assume made in a batch of 100 max

Not 100% convinced of that dial.
I understand what you mean.
I vote for original because it is nearly impossible to do the duotone ring accurately on a redial without separating black hairlines.

I'm just wondering are the mismatched hour and minute hands correct? I occasionally see that on a handful of pieces
definitely not. Also the hands in the subdials are broken and too short.

I totally agree with you. Loose dials, bezels and hands are floating around for these exotic Compaxes, albeit at hefty asking prices. With patience the new owner could have a mint ‘correct’ Exotic Nina on their hands with under $10k in the watch.

Would love to see case pics because the numbers quoted do not make sense (to me that is )

What do we think about this one? Case has no Zenith markings which in IMHO not ok for these UG made compurs. https://jewelry.ha.com/itm/timepiec...ersized-chronograph-circa-1950/a/5538-54395.s

Auction house says the following:
'While the case does not feature typical Zenith stampings, we still believe this case to be the original to the watch. The fitment of the movement to the case looks deliberate and factory to our knowledge, and as companies often shipped movements without cases to different markets to avoid gold import tariffs, the cases made then were not as heavily documented in regards to record keeping, and may explain the anonymous nature of the case of this particular watch.'

It’s lovely. Too bad about the non leaf leaf hour hand. Of course it is most definitely not circa 1950 and it’s probably a locally made but very interesting case.
