Seems agressive but it looks like somebody paid it Interesting one (although with strange caseback). Movement and dial marked Uweco Universal. https://www.sekaimon.com/itemdetail...-COMPAX+MILITARY+CHRONOGRAPH+CAL+385+REF+5938

the case stamping is perhaps even more curious than the dial. What is it a 22297/1 or a 22297/3 or a 22297/31 ?
Dial smells fishy IMHO Interesting Berthoud with both caseback and dustcover numbered: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224969055131?hash=item3461335b9b:g:4jcAAOSwZxxicOpZPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Will this put UG Tri's on the auction map? https://www.phillips.com/detail/universal/HK080122/1065 The estimate seems ridiculously high but...it might just happen. Who's bidding?
Nice 20944 for sale in Belgium: https://www.2ememain.be/v/bijoux-sa...l-geneve-mecanique-tout-en-acier-cadran-noire
This is interesting- UG did allow for certain custom order specs from what I've read in their old catalogues - so it's plausible- but still find it interesting this Seller knows that this is the exact case here on a watch that's @ 70 years old... Maybe a 1 owner watch??
maybe it's just reprinted... and all these arguments are fake. If you have a "unique" dial you should attach pics of the front and back side of the dial. IMHO
that's the most likely. It doesn't help in these situations where someone claims custom dial or whatever, that the dial printing is suspect. The centering in the subdials is bad, the position of Tri Compax is very low, the UG text is unusual, missing swiss, etc. Plus the weird stamping on the caseback. Anyhow I'm not claiming anything specific on this particular watch as it would require research and I don't have time to do it. Often the simplest explanation is the accurate one. But UG is a strange and mysterious world as well.
Thanks, will provide pictures once in my hands It will be my first squared watch too... UG watches are slowly growing in numbers in my collection, still relatively just a few of them, but increasing
