are we assuming a rythmos branded 285 inside ?
I asked for a pic and the movement is Uweco and the case is marked Berthoud 😁 Serial fits in a long list of Uweco and Berthouds

Well: I don't know but the printing of this dial is a bit off but on the other end pretty high quality

That's my view. Especially the raised numbers. Pretty nice.

I think both look good to me (but agree about the hands)
How can you tell the dial was relumed? Is it that ghosty distortion?

The lume of 6 & 12 (and for that matter the bars) looks a bit sloppy.

It does look sloppy - wondering if this could be due to time/age/deterioration or definitively it's relumed? If it was relumed it should've been done better! Maybe it was done a long time ago to refresh the dial/luminosity as was customary back in the golden age when owners didn't consider originality but cared more about functionality??

Interesting view but I think you may be on to something.

In my super humble opinion it is impossible to say if dial is relumed or not, without a Geiger counter and the watch in your hands...

Fair point. Problem in this case is that my Japanese is a bit rusty and it is a 10 hour flight 😁

If someone buys the Jeager above from Curious Curio, I have a potentially correct set of subdial hands (I say potentially because there are a few different styles used and it would depend on the hour hand combination). These silver hands for black dials are near impossible to find.
