On a completely unrelated note obviously, does anyone have a spare signed crown for a gold capped bumper Polerouter?

Happy to buy or trade for one of the other spares I have.

Nah. I know of 16 22492's in total of which 2 Hermes one's. The other one is here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/compax-12510.13036/page-2#post-159937

So: rare but not crazy rare. The interesting thing is that of course that the serials of the 2 are 379 & 427. In a small dedicated batch for Hermes this may work. However: 406 is not Hermes https://omegaforums.net/threads/compax-12510.13036/page-2

Very interesting person: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Riddell_(skier). The inscription refers - I assume - to his marriage with Jeanette Kessler: another famous skier (https://nl.whomarried.com/jeanette-anne-kessler-76140188). Together they wrote a book on skiing.

I just don't think it came out of the factory with that dial on it. Is it an Alpina dial?

Thanks - weird. I suppose there is a possibility that there's been a dial swap by a Kriegsmarine watchmaker (assuming that dial feet line up - probably unlikely) but I've also just found this additional data point:

This was an interesting one. Uweco 32407. All matching. Dial looks legit but I'm not 100% sure. Sold for about EUR 300 (I think) https://aucview.aucfan.com/yahoo/m1040312746/
