so strange- the cost it would take to forge this must be insignificant vs. the payoff I guess, even though the end price still isn't that much.
That was meant sarcastic. IMHO it should look like this: https://www.ashmontwatches.com/prod...ve-chronograph-circa-1940-s-universal-cal-385
After a LONG trip (Maryland-Denton-Hawai-SF-Leipzig-Amsterdam) it is finally here! Left 224105 and right 22409 Heart attack for both the seller and me. I asked him what was going on at Fedex for the delivery in Hawai. He said: Fedex? Hawai? It was delivered last week in Ohio... This was caused by the brilliant Ebay 'is it real' service.... Seller was not aware he was sending to the authentication service!
They are from https://lobtime.com/ But I think they are the same. Nice stuff and good value for the money
What a bargain!!!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30392893...ersal+Gen%E8ve&_trksid=p2334524.c100667.m2042Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
In a way a bargain: USD 6.950 for this tri-compax: https://www.ebay.nl/itm/334020023190?ul_noapp=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Weird sequence of pics. Pushers missing. Seller had no clue
yah I'm sure a lot of us were tracking this. Assuming someone can get pushers and crown, I think it's pretty good price and I suspect the watch is quite nice in person.
Yes, I was following it too, BUT: - dial "looks" ok but pics are obviously not clear. - pushers are missing/wrong/very worn out, I think it's not simple to track original pushers for this ref - crown is wrong - for sure watch would need a service given all these insecurities, price looks nice but not so good, imho. If I remember correctly, Hodinkee (that is quite expensive as seller) recently sold a nice one for 9,9k$?
Interesting movement serial - I would expect a 179k movement to have a serial in the 800k region https://www.chrono24.nl/universalge...-compax-in-steel--moving-lugs--id19777066.htm
