Anyway, with these new considerations, I'd avoid buying it.
+ the fact that 26662 is not a valid UG compax ref number, at all...

It's lovely, isn't it. I feel that I need to embed a picture so that the hands can be preserved for posterity.

Great how the listing describes how the band is not original.

Though... despite the eagle, there remains the strangely « hand-engraved » serial, plus the fact that @Lurk41 and @vujen say the serial is not legit.

What do @Larry S @Dre @Florent @LouS and @10H10 think about this case?

Thank you OF community
I am not an expert on French cased UG. I think the watch is beautiful. Would I pay the ask? Hell no because its not a UG case. I would defer to @Florent on the value but 3 to 3.5K Euro seems more appropriate.

Ok so you read it- to me- this could be a French Cased UG similar to whats shown in the thread about them. But the inconsistency of the number imprint on the back of the case and the inner case back hand engraving/ the lack of other definers may be cause of concern. Again that's just to me. For others like @ELV web - it looks good and he knows more than I do about UG for sure. So consider what you're buying it for. Are you going to resell later? Will you have to explain these facts? If you are buying it bc you love the watch and will wear it forever- just buy it and enjoy.
This comment, definitely makes a lot of sense. The provenance of these French cases UG are a bit of work and many people will just shun them.

Thanks a lot @jumpingsecond @ELV web @Larry S
All clear to me now:
1. The watch looks really great in the flesh...
2. ...But there are doubts regarding the case. It could be a French case, could be a re-casing. In any case, it is not simple and affects its value.

I want to wear this watch evry week, but I also know that at one point I will sell it to fund another purchase.
The price asked, ~5k€, is too high so I will pass that one. I had asked @Florent in DM, and he also said it's a too high price.

Happy to share the name of the dealer if someone is interested.

You guys are so helpful, thank you.

Hey guy’s, I’ve been offered this polerouter date for $1300 the crown look original and the case back looks fairly good to me. I was wondering if anyone could help point out anything that’s wrong or if it’s been over polished. Thanks

Movement looks clean, everything apart from the crystal looks original and the case isn't over-polished as the lugs are still sharp. I'd buy it for $1300

I am not sure what is the right price, but I did get mine for 1360usd in mar this year on eBay. I guess the point is hunting effort still pays. Mine came with a bumper and correct reference and serial number.

Both great but we are comparing apples with oranges, so I'm not sure price comparisons are valid.

I completely agree regarding reaping the rewards for the hours you put in hunting though.

I need opinions 😀. Just got this off eBay! Did alllll my research and everything looks to be original except for the unsigned crown. The glass was even signed! Anyhow... it’s bugging me, I noticed the chapter ring is unaligned with the crosshairs , can this be moved manually? Also. I noticed the endices(gold dots are not centered on the dial (right side has a bigger gap next to the chapter ring). I looked up other examples and it seems like every example on the internet is similar!! Is this a thing??? Thanks in advance!!
