He states he took off the wristband to make it easier for the jeweler to work on. Why, because he knows how to fix a watch but doesn’t know how to take off a band. Ridiculous

That story sounds familiar. Single owner, took off the bracelet and lost links etc Has it been on there before?

Yes, it’s been here before....

Not sure but it doesn't look to be overpolished. I went for it also but lost in the end as well.

Minute hand does not appear to reach the track and sweep second does not reset to zero. The lume color of the hour hand does not appear to match the minute hand but could be the lighting.

I noticed that the sweep hand doesn’t reset to zero. Is that a major fix?

No ... it would be fixed when the watch is serviced. This is a lovely watch. Congrats to the winner.

I was tracking this....curious what it looks like with better photos. It looks like a decent example. The minute hand length is normal. The mismatched hand lume.....not sure what to make of that. The month disc color seems odd. Anyhow, for an oversized SS tri, seems like a reasonable price for the buyer

Should we be suspicious that the date shown is no where near current? It's the second one I've spotted with that feature recently.

Lume is definitely odd but correctable.

This watch most definitely needs a service.

No. It’s a pain in the butt to get it all set correctly.

Ah its a zen like exercise (until the moon disc sticks😡) Actually @Moahunter is right. We should ask sellers to prove that they can be set. Otherwise the watch is NOT in working condition. That said, always assume a service will be needed. Sometimes sellers also have no idea how to do it.

I actually reached out to the seller just to say that if anything falls through that I’m interested.

Turns out that it did, and I’m in talks about essentially stepping in the shoes of the buyer.

Any other advice from what was already said?

I'd want to see a DAYLIGHT shots including movement, inside case, case back, side shots. I'd want to see evidence of the function of the watch including Moon, Day, Date Settings chronograph. Video would be great if seller will cooperate. Overall it looks pretty nice. Budget $400+ for a service. Were I to buy this, it would be out of the box and straight to the spa. I suspect the hands issue is lighting.
