Being new to UG I wouldn't advise you to buy a watch with movement problems (chrono doesn't work, seller says). Parts can be hard to find and expensive
Thanks, yeah I was interested in what it would take to get the chrono working. It seems to be reasonably priced right now but if it were to go a little higher it might not be worth the risk of the unknown...
You won't know until your watchmaker had a look. Do you have a skilled watchmaker who is able to source or manufacture parts?
Is it just me or does this look like he's taken a picture of the watch being displayed on a monitor? https://www.ebay.it/itm/292579884651?ul_noapp=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
You are 100% right. The pixelation and moire lines are clear enough. It is probably out of a catalog. Good that some of the internet sh*tbags can't be bothered to pull off a proper swindle. Would certainly report this one.
I have contacted the seller, no paypal, doesn't want to take pictures, only 5 ebay rating, maybe a scam
I admire your ability to give him the benefit of the doubt . I really think you'd need balls of steel for this one - where's the chap who extracted the lovely chronograph from somewhere in Latin America over a period of weeks and months?
His seller record, although very brief, does suggest that he has sold a very few high value items in a reliable fashion. However it seems that the final price will reach, perhaps, 3k Euro and maybe more. I may risk a late snipe. Of course, I may not.
yah, it's sure not much to go on. And no logic to why someone can't take a picture. But you never know, sometimes there are just really strange people out there. the chapter ring position is totally jacked...
