Yup. You could pick up a few decent Tri-Compaxes for that hammer price. Strong finish. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-VINTAG...d=100040&prg=1011&rk=4&rkt=4&sd=111232379558&Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Indeed. My Centenary is one of those. The seller was going to send me the original box as a bonus as soon as he had the chance to go through Grandma's attic. Why am I not holding my breath?
If you were a typical eBay buyer you'd have believed the seller and died by now. You should send the seller a message asking where the box is - and send subsequent messages every few months. Don't let them off the hook!
Someone here should buy this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151208304728?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Thoughts on this UG? Currently thinking about pulling the trigger... a bit scared to post on here just in case to be honest! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal...844228663?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item5403fdf837Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
A) I don't like overexposed photos. It hides too many faults. B) That's the "helpful measurement" watch!
Just came back here to post my own conclusions I thought it was a redial and you all beat me to it! Thanks everyone for confirming suspicions and stopping me from wasting my money... sometimes the long search for a nice Universal Geneve makes you desperate! Give away for me (aside from how clean the dial is) was that I couldn't find any other examples that had the 6 at the bottom unchopped and the seconds style looked a bit off. Shame.
Can you elaborate a little on what you're seeing with the "6 at the bottom unchopped"? Agree this is a redial. Always like improving my eye if I'm missing something else.
What's up with the pushers on this onePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network? I've never seen anything like it. Poor replacements?
No, authentic - a little used variant in the UG repretoire. Not sure of the rationale for these, unless it was simply to have the pushers be less obstrusive.
Not conclusive proof but I've never seen another Tri-Compax that actually has the numeral 6 at the bottom. Normally it's entirely covered by the dial.
Also, if you'll notice, the black minute markers do not center on the hour markers - especially at 5,7, and 11 o'clock.
