If the crystal was right then I'd buy it just for that but I don't think it is - it looks too domed and the date window is rectangular when I think it should be more trapezoidal.

Great tri-compax Ref 22541 on eBay exactly as per the example in Sala.

One thing to watch out for is that I think the lower pusher is a brass replacement. It's fairly clear from the pictures once you know but not mentioned in the listing.

Seems like a cheap starting bid - to the seller's credit they have made notices of what they think is replaced and what not

.....except that it is a redial. I've never seen UG dial printing to make space for lume plots like that.

Should we worry that the watch is in Brazil while the company claims being a US company? Also they claim that the pushers are "awesome" and the movement mechanical automatic... Not great description overall but pusher aside, the watch looks good to me too....

Somebody got a bargain last night. $11,000 for a Clapton Tri-Compax.

I think on this item it may be important to note the wording of the "auction end"
"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold."

I believe this means that the seller struck a deal with either one of the bidders or with another party, probably for more than shown.

I may be wrong but I think that particular explanation indicates that the seller accepted the highest bid at that time, which I believe is the price shown of $11,000.

If a deal is struck outside of eBay (this is increasingly frowned upon by eBay), then I think the seller has to choose from a number of limited explanations such as the item has been lost, is no longer available or there was a mistake in the listing.

Nice watch, but ships to CONUS only! Someone could get a bargain I think.
