i think the hands are right, look at the picture at the bottom.

but i am not sure about the crown... Should there be the "U" on the crown?
and what is about the dial with numbers instead of the shown indices?

Pre 1950 ... no signed crown. I believe the dial on the first watch you referenced to be touched up.

Spacing on sub dials. Looks like the hour indices now are printed not lumed so hands might be OK.

I agree. But.....There is always the possibility that our issues are an idiosyncratic feature of a particular dial supplier. Ya never know.

in this case, this supplier was for sure not the most talented to dial a watch ... 😗 but it could be ok !

@aw5588 ask the seller for a better picture !

This one looks quite nice - Polerouter inspired dial, manual wind movement, and still decent size at 35mm. Good for the current price I believe with a couple days left of auction.

And then you have this...is the gold-plated buckle really worth the money, even if it is a fit for a Bi or Tri-Compax?

Did anyone consider this recent offering?
"This is a really nice Vintage 14K Yellow Gold Universal Geneve Automatic Swiss Men's Wristwatch!
The case is 32 mm & the back of the case notes: Swiss 1160563 50701
The inside case is marked: Universal Geneve, 56, 14K, .585, 141. Additionally there seems to be a picture of what looks like a rabbit or squirrel (this is also found on the side of the case near the crown).
The works are marked: Swiss Universal Watch Co, 17 Seventeen Jewels, 263, Unadjusted."
Priced at US$697, incorrectly described as automatic.
