Goodmorning everyone,
I found this UG but having never seen others like it, I am puzzled.
Is it original or is it a Franken?
Thanks in advance for your help.
a warm greeting

Looks fine to me. Stainless version of this:

Edit. The watch is on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universa...424809?hash=item4214c6f569:g:UV4AAOSw0N1ebtSL

Dial printing looks good. Crown unsigned.

That looks like a good old UG. However, larger photos are needed to confirm if dial is original and not a redial and it would be good if you could post images of movement. From what I can see, the only thing that looks dubious is the crown but will need a closer look to confirm.

Looks great to me and very unlikely to be a redial in my opinion.

They are not uncommon - an internet search for the Universal Geneve 206515 (stainless steel) or 406515 (gold plated - rather than capped I think) will reveal several different sub references with different dial and hands combinations.

There are some with fantastic unusual dials with stripes etc

If I had to generalise, I would say these are effectively a UG poor man's Polerouter with a manual wind Cal 332 movement.

I owned the Estrella De Luxe signed version pictured above and wore it a great deal but was pleased to be able to sell it to a collector from the Philippines who was collecting Estrella signed watches.

@PrincipeAsturie ... would you be so kind as to change the title of your thread to include the Reference 206515 7. This makes it more searchable. Cool piece. I look fwd to more pics.

@Larry S - Agree with the idea of changing the title to include the reference but the OP's watch is not Estrella signed?

Because he came out with an opinion but appeared to dress it up as a fact. He hasn't exactly been forthcoming with why he's arrived at the conclusion despite being asked to. I very much want people to challenge potential frankens and re-dials (I've been accused of being rude by doing this in the past) but you've got to explain your workings out.

You are in good hands here! Lots of experts! I think Killer wants you to watch frankenstein. It’s a classic!
