Obviously a bad crown - and hands don't seem to match but I'm not sure that tells the whole story. Not an expert so I am struggling to see where how else it is a redial. Thoughts? Not familiar with this style of numerals either!
Not sure the dial is the issue (but I'd want to see a better shot of the text) - and the hands are probably the right style, if not the right metal.
Thank you for the info and apologies if this an ignorant question - but is there no chance that there could have been different metals? Seems like those indices would be appropriate in a PG case.
I would expect the accent to be there, yes. What’s the serial date this watch to? I don’t have Sala’s book handy right now as I’m out of the house - mid/late 40s? I would expect the accent to be there during this era.
Both dials are slightly different, the minute scale of the first one has outside ring for the second it is inside.
I am a bit suspicious not because of this difference. When looking at the ebay ad, the watch is available there, the watch seems used and that doesn't fit with the dial condition.
